As a graduate of the Animal Center Management program, you will learn how to manage facilities in a variety of settings where animals are maintained, including domestic and wild animals.
WHY STUDY THIS PROGRAM?
If you care about animals, you know that an animal’s well-being is impacted by its housing or shelter and the effective management of animal facilities where they are cared for as well as by the health and safety of the personnel caring for them. At Harcum, you will see first-hand what a career working with animals will entail. You will learn the fundamentals of a good animal management program that permits animals to grow, mature, reproduce, and maintain good health. Qualified students can participate in an off-campus practicum their sophomore year.

Your program will include courses on Animal Behavior; Merchandising for the Pet Product Retail Industry; Canine Basics: Breeds,Care,Training; Avian and Reptile Management; Professional and Business Communication; Business Management, Animal Nutrition, and numerous others.
